# Adkar Al Muslim (أذكار المسلم) — Full documentation > https://www.al-adkar.com — an Arabic (right-to-left) Islamic reference site, with iOS and Android apps. This file describes what each section contains and how its content is sourced, so that it can be cited accurately. ## How the content is sourced Every hadith published on the site is sahih. Concretely: a hadith from al-Bukhari or Muslim is cited as such; a hadith from the Sunan is published only with its grade AND the name of the scholar who graded it; anything outside the nine canonical collections is never used as evidence; and events known only from the sira literature are introduced as such, never with a chain-of-transmission formula. Every quoted hadith is checked against the text of the nine collections, and every Quranic verse against the mushaf, by a script run before publication. Three conventions follow from it and are used throughout the site: - «…» (guillemets) mark the text of a hadith, and nothing else. - ﴿…﴾ mark a Quranic verse, quoted from the mushaf by reference. - "…" mark the words of a scholar — a grade, a ruling, a comment. When a widely repeated attribution or wording does not match the collections, the page says so. Examples published on the site, each checked against the text of the collections: the supplication of the wedding night, «اللهم إني أسألك خيرها وخير ما جبلتها عليه», is often attributed to Muslim but is found in Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah; «من قرأ سورة الكهف في يوم الجمعة» is often presented as agreed upon, but is in an-Nasa'i's al-Kubra and al-Hakim, outside the Sahihayn; and al-Bukhari's wording about Khalid ibn al-Walid is «سيف من سيوف الله» — "سيف الله المسلول" is not in the Sahihayn. ## Pricing The website is entirely free. In the mobile app, all core features — adhkar, Quran, prayer times and adhan, Qibla, tasbih — are free and carry no ads. An optional subscription unlocks some design and extra features; its revenue funds the app and al-adkar.com. ## Sections ### Daily adhkar — https://www.al-adkar.com/adkar Morning, evening, sleep, waking and post-prayer adhkar, each with its source and number of repetitions, a counter, and a per-day progress marker. ### The Quran — https://www.al-adkar.com/quran All 114 surahs in Uthmani script. The Basmala is shown once at the head of each surah (except at-Tawbah) and not repeated as part of verse 1. ### Tafsir — https://www.al-adkar.com/tafsir Tafsir al-Muyassar for all 114 surahs — cited, not rewritten. ### Hadith — https://www.al-adkar.com/hadith A hadith library with search and filtering by source, the Forty Hadith of an-Nawawi (42), and a hadith of the day. ### The Companions and the Tabi'un — https://www.al-adkar.com/sahaba 38 biographies in four groups: the ten promised Paradise (10), the Mothers of the Believers (11), other prominent Companions (12), and the Tabi'un (5). Each page carries only the virtues established in al-Bukhari and Muslim; what only the sira literature reports is labelled as such. Where nothing is established — as for Zaynab bint Khuzayma — the page says so rather than filling the gap. For the Tabi'un, who did not see the Prophet ﷺ, the pages cite a hadith in whose chain of transmission the person appears; the one exception is Uways al-Qarani, named by the Prophet ﷺ in Sahih Muslim. ### Islamic inheritance law — https://www.al-adkar.com/mirath 9 chapters: the fixed-share heirs, the residuaries, exclusion (hajb), proportional reduction and return ('awl and radd), spouses, daughters, siblings and kalala, impediments, and bequests. Grounded in an-Nisa' 11–12 and 176 and the view of the majority, with differences of opinion named where they exist. The inheritance calculator (https://www.al-adkar.com/tools/inheritance-calculator) uses exact rational arithmetic — never floating point — and is checked against 39 classical cases (al-Minbariyya, al-Mushtaraka, the two 'Umariyyatan). It declines to answer the grandfather-with-siblings case rather than produce an invented figure. ### Landmarks of Islamic history — https://www.al-adkar.com/maalim 10 places, from al-Masjid al-Haram to the Great Mosque of Cordoba. Each page separates what the Quran and the Sahihayn establish, what history records, and what is and is not done at the place. ### Worship hubs - https://www.al-adkar.com/ibadat — the five pillars - https://www.al-adkar.com/tahara — purification - https://www.al-adkar.com/hajj — Hajj and Umrah - https://www.al-adkar.com/usrah — family in Islam ### Prayer times — https://www.al-adkar.com/salat 814 cities in 64 countries, with monthly tables, yearly tables, and a Ramadan imsakiya per city (https://www.al-adkar.com/imsakiya). The calculation method follows each country's official default. Imsak is given at the time of Fajr, and the page explains why. ### Nearest mosque — https://www.al-adkar.com/mosques Mosques around the visitor's location, from OpenStreetMap. The page states that OpenStreetMap coverage is uneven. ### Kids corner — https://www.al-adkar.com/atfal 13 prophets' stories rewritten for children aged 4 to 12, each derived from a verified adult article on the site and linked to it: only what the Quran and the sahih hadith say, verses quoted from the mushaf by reference, and the page says so where the Quran is silent (the kind of tree in Adam's story, the number aboard Noah's ark). 23 games: verse games built from Juz' 'Amma (ordering a verse's words, completing a verse, naming the surah, dragging each verse to its surah, counting a surah's verses), ordering surahs and Hijri months by drag and drop, matching each prophet to a sign from his story, and a quiz on the stories. No drawings of prophets or characters, no music, no accounts: progress stays in the child's browser. ### Tajwid — https://www.al-adkar.com/tajwid 8 lessons on the rules of Quranic recitation in the reading of Hafs 'an 'Asim (Shatibiyya): nun sakina and tanwin, mim sakina, ghunna, the madd family, qalqala, the lams, tafkhim and tarqiq, and the etiquette and tempos of recitation. Every example is a passage of the mushaf whose rule was computed twice — from the letters, as the rule is defined, and from the Madinah mushaf's own diacritical conventions — and shown only where both agree. Verses of Tuhfat al-Atfal and al-Jazariyya are quoted from a collated text with variants noted. Each lesson ends with a « choose the rule » exercise on whole verses. ### Teen corner — https://www.al-adkar.com/nashia 9 challenges for ages 12 to 18, all computed from established sources: verbal mutashabihat (two places in the mushaf where seven consecutive words match except one), ordering five consecutive verses of the Mufassal, completing a hadith taken only from al-Bukhari or Muslim, ordering events of the seerah whose relative order is not disputed (dates as commonly given by the seerah scholars), and three games on the whole mushaf: dragging verses to their surahs, ordering surahs, and naming the juz' a surah begins in. Every question bank is printed with its answers for teachers. No timer, no leaderboard, no accounts. ### Baby names — https://www.al-adkar.com/names 597 names (317 boys, 280 girls), each with meaning, origin and ruling. ### Dream interpretation — https://www.al-adkar.com/dream-interpretation 86 symbols, with readings by case (single, married, pregnant). Interpretations of dreams are presented as probable, not certain, and popular beliefs that go beyond the tradition are corrected. ### Zakat — https://www.al-adkar.com/zakat Calculators for money, gold and silver, zakat al-fitr, agriculture, livestock and crypto, with the nisab derived from the current gold price. ### Articles — https://www.al-adkar.com/blog 119 articles on worship, the sira, Quranic stories and Islamic practice. ## Contact - Developer: Mustapha BOUKALI (Codmaker) - https://www.al-adkar.com/contact
